Photography

At nine I was given a box camera by my father, and photography began there for me. At 14 I got my first SLR, a second hand Pentax ME Super. At 17, I apprenticed photographer Raghu Rai for a few months.  I learnt the joys of printing my own black & white romides. Half of the images in the profile are developed or printed by me from the negatives. The next few years of my adult life saw thousands of negatives and slides, some making it to a few shows and books and others boxed away.

In the meantime, I graduated to my first new SLR as a 20-year-old, and 10 years later to my DSLR and simultaneously to my Video cameras. Now 10 years later I am itching to have my stills and moving images together and with slightly more courage to share the work
