Painted Pleasures at Jal Mahal,
Jaipur, India. 2010-11

The scenography of the Jal Mahal (Water Palace) interiors is titled Painted Pleasures and illustrates the notion of pleasure pavillions. The space celebrates the Rajput courtly arts of the 18th century. The curators selected the main exhibits and the text around which I have visualised the space and curated and conceived about 40 art works while collaborating with about 30 traditional miniature painters and craftspeople.
